Shanghai Part III

In and around the French Concession. The whole area looked like we were walking about in Europe.

Apparently the Frecnh Concession is where young Shanghai shops. So well...that's what we did too Xp

We also went to Fuxing Park which is also located somewhere within the French Concession. The park was full of people dancing, singing, playing kites, badminton and cycling. And it was a weekday too!! I felt like I was in a musical~ ^^

Owh and check out the Starbucks. God damn. That is how Starbucks here should be stocked instead of the minuscule selections they have here -__-;;

I forgot about the crab photo...Fried crabs. Yummy~ I've never had streetfood that looked as wicked as that and tasted THAT good.

Shanghai Part II

I'm doing this at 4:00 am cos Photobucket has been so effing anal lately. Plus I just woke up from a really weird nightmare >_<

Below are pics of the Yuyuan Gardens and Bazaar. Yes. I went to another garden in another foreign country. So sue me.

Inside here would be the gardens.

Alongside this road you can get every imaginable fake goods, souvenir and random knickknacks.

You can even get your face carved in marble by these wonderful artists. Bring a pic to them and have it immortalized in stone~

Shanghai Part 1

As requested by Nyda, I will post up more pics of my trip to Shanghai ^^

Warning: There WILL be lots of pics. I'm going to divide them into parts tho. This is the first part and its called "Night at the Bund, Shanghai and Lujiazui, Pudong" Xp

The Bund is situated opposite of Lujiazui and is seperated by the Huangpu River. We took a ferry cruise down the Huangpu River on the 2nd or was it the 3rd night we were there and it really was awesome. We also walked around the Bund every other night cos our hotel was situated in that area.

The Bund's architectural root is based in the 1930's of Shanghai. So you can imagine the great pillars and mass brick surfaces. The Bund is majestic during the day but totally fantastic at night!

The Peace Hotel and no, I did NOT stay here -__-;;

Lujiazui in the Pudong district however is like the complete opposite of the Bund. Basically, it's like an eye into the future. All the buildings there were super futuristic and really really colourful at night. It reminded me a lot of Hong Kong ^^

The Oriental Pearl Tower which is actually a TV Tower. I swear because of this, they have like local 50 channels. And I repeat LOCAL channels. No BBC, AXN etc.

Me and Yanie in Shanghai

As I hardly ever put pics of myself, I thought I'd break the tradition and spam my blog with pics of me and my friend Yanie when we were in Shanghai (Yes, it was just the two of us. Wooohoooo!). Note that the pics were self taken cos we were scared that if we asked someone to take the pics, they might just run away with the camera! =S

Shanghai was a pretty awesome city. The only problem was everybody liked to spit everywhere and apparently kids there don't wear diapers so their parent's let them pee ...well pretty much anywhere. Such a shame cos the streets were free from trash. Not even a cigarette butt *sigh* Oh well, you can't have it all I guess. I'll post up the pics of the city later. Now enjoy me being narcissistic Xp

Us in Nanjing (THE shopping district in Shanghai). The first time we went there Yanie saw someone drinking this and thus we spent the next day scouring the place for this. Finally found it. And ended up going there nearly every night to have the drink ^^

Random fact for you: ALL the umbrellas in Shanghai were super pretty and dirt cheap. I ended up buying one (a massive rainbow coloured one) and Yanie bought 2 (very pretty and girly-ish) but on the way back I had to carry all 3. People were just staring at me weird cos I had like 3 big umbrellas in my hand >_<

On the way back in the plane. Had to wear the mask just in case cos of the H1N1 flu thing that was going on at that time.

Hong Kong the City

I've think I've been spazzing about underaged boys too much these days. I apologize if you've felt that your brain cells were reduced by half from reading my maniacal lustful thoughts of Korean men.

Welcome to Hong Kong, where your ship stops right next to a shopping mall. Yes my friends the building next to that ship is a shopping mall. Connected to that shopping mall were my parent's hotel. Connected to my parents hotel were more shops. Told you Hong Kong was like crack for shoppers.
