Fast and Furious 4

I've watched this twice already. And I'll probably go and see it again today. Why?
1. Cos I like fast cars
2. Cos Vin Diesel's voice is the seexxx
3. Cos Paul Walker's every freaking pore is the sex
4. Cos of all the shiny metal
5. Cos the movie is just the sex
6. Cos I have NO internet at home and my baby i.e. my notebook is sick = no entertainment = stress = watching Fast and Furious 4 releases said stress = I won't end up doing something stupid like drugs, sex and booze
P.S. I was laughing and nearly peed myself stupid when I heard the rap part of DBSK's "Rising Sun" playing in the background when Paul Walker was chasing down the criminal in the beginning of the movie. Thank god they didn't play the whole song or else the whole damn movie will have lost its credibility.

Blood: The Last Vampire
For those of you who aren't a big fan of anime, this is basically a live action remake of the anime film Blood: The Last Vampire which was released in 2000.
Basically, the story revolves around a girl called "Saya" who happens to be a 400 year old vampire assassin stuck in a body of a 16 year old. I'm pretty sure they're now showing the series on Animax called "Blood+". I think the series could either be a continuation of the movie/fills in the stuff about Saya's background or it diverts totally from the movie and is based on an alternate universe. I'm not so sure cos I haven't been able to catch it on TV yet.
Anyhoo, I'm super excited for this cos I thought the anime film was cool just cos it was super violent. I like swords and blood and supernatural things in girl form that can kick butt ^^
Plus, I wanna see Jun Ji-hyun acting the part of Saya cos Jun Ji-Hyun happens to be Korean and well, "Saya" is Japanese (baffles me as to why they couldn't get a Japanese girl to play the part >_<). Anyhoo, you may remember her as the girl who plays the main character in the Korean movie "My Sassy Girl".
P.S. Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been keeping myself busy on the weekends just cos the internet sucks and therefore I must now enter the real world for my source of entertainment. Actually, I've been wanting to post about a bunch of stuff I've done over the past couple of weeks, particularly my first ever rock/metal concert experience!! (I went to see Parkway Drive), Peter Sander's "The Art of Integration" photo exhibition at the International Islamic Arts Museum, the KLPAC Open Day and also some random rants about Malaysian theater audience but I haven't gotten the chance to just sit down and write. Babbling I can do. Writing needs some thought. Plus, I still haven't finished the tag given by I Am Marat13 over at Shogunn Chronocles V2.0.
*Le sigh* So much stuff to do and so little time to do it in.

My Confusion with Twilight
Currently listening to: Twilight the Score; Music by Carter Burwell.
Watching the movie made me actually want to go and purchase the book/series myself, just so to fill in the gaping holes in the plot and the mildly confusing and broken conversations between the characters (I swear that "lamb and lion" thing was definately from a line in the book but it seemed so misplaced within the movie).
**SPOLIER ALERT!!** (Highlight to see the text below)
Basically, Edward Cullen is a vampire imbued with morals/virtue/will only get it on with the love of his undead life after getting hitched to her and later on they have a child together who happens to be human.
Huh. If that didn't already put me off from reading the novel, I then read a comment by someone on Youtube about the book, saying that it was "some sort of fantasy book for those "tweens" who have just outgrown 'Harry Potter' and are not quite decadent enough yet for the doubtful pleasures of the Anne Rice vampire novels", which I more or less assume to mean that after reading the Vampire Chronicles, the book will probably pale in comparison (I mean lets face it, Edward seems to be the complete opposite of Lestat (whom I love) in so many ways). They say its like reading a bad fanfiction. Good concept but bad writing...
The thing is, I already have this preconceived notion as to what a vampyre is/should be. Through my years of
1. They're usually not so virtuous as Edward. Celibacy/abstaining was never a popular term within the vampyre community. Why do you think Angel was so fucking tortured 95% of the time??
2. They cannot procreate through sex with a human. Dead sperm is well...dead. Unless, they go through the loophole that was "Blade" (Somebody definitely needs to fill me in on how they achieved this).
3. They don't sparkle "like diamonds" (Cool concept though).
4. Those who have been the undead for more than 100 years...usually have better vocabulary and a certain eloquence when speaking.
5. Hunting/killing/maiming/torturing is a sport. Baseball is...new to me.
Basically, I've already been brainwashed by Greek mythology, folktales, Bram Stoker, J.W. Polidori, Joss Whedon, Anne Rice and random crazed vampire shrine websites (though not necessarily in that order) of what vampires/lamia/vampyres/the undead really are. So my brain cannot seem to fathom the concept of Edward Cullen...and his ability to procreate with a human. I mean, I get the whole nice vamp thing, but not the procreating bit. For starters, why bite and turn humans, when you can just have sex with them and get (human?) babies? Which now leads me to the question of whether they will then have to use condoms when doing it (family planning is important btw although I never thought it'd ever be an issue to vampires before this).
The whole procreating thing with humans just goes against the whole vampire mythology. I mean, in general, humans are food to them, so how can they breed humans? Eh. See? I'm all sorts of confused right now. But it would have been nice though (should someone give me a plausible answer as to how they achieved said feat). Imagine a world where they have a bunch of human kids/men walking around with said vampire mummy/daddy's good looks...
Oh, that would be so fucking perfect. I could so deal with that ^_~
**Edit**
NYCSeoulTokyo made a post about Twilight better than me. Made me lmao. She's a riot! ^^ Read it here. Oh, read the comments too. Pretty funny as well.

Quantum of Solace
Apparently, CNN described Craig’s Bond this time as “a cool killing machine wrapped in a perfectly fitting, crisp suit,” adding that he is “frankly, sex on a stick.” *sigh* I couldn't agree more! ( I think this has got to be the first time where I agree whole heartedly anything said by CNN >_<). I love it when men go on a killing rampage.........in suits (Now you know what kind of movies I like to see on the big screen Xp) I'm definitely not the type who would pay to look at sentimental dramas/comedies/indie flicks on a huge big ass screen in Dolby Digital surround sound. Not to say that I don't watch any movies other than action/horror/epic ones, but I'd rather wait for it to come out on satellite instead and later buy the DVD if I know that I'm gonna end up watching it again and again. Action flicks need the big screen and a killer sound system. Those other type of movies don't.
Funny thing though, throughout the whole movie, all I could think about was how extraordinarily versatile a suit was. I mean watching the film will have you believing that you can do pretty much anything (and go anywhere) in a suit. And I mean literally Bond did everything in a suit (except the scene where he took it off to, you know, but I'm sure he could still of done it in a suit if he tried Xp) I mean has anyone checked out the movie Hitman?? That was another awesome action flick too where the main character kills people while wearing a suit (Although the storyline reminded me too much of Dark Angel what with the whole barcode and everything. Hmmmm, I wonder whether the game came out first or the series......) Olga was in the Hitman too. No sex yet again. But there was a really hot scene with her and Timothy on the bed. Damn, that girl sure has got restraint. I wonder whether she has a clause in her contract which states that she shall and will not do hot sex scenes with hot, hot men. Cause if she does, her lawyer should be fired.
Btw, DBSK's new vid "Wrong Number" just came out. Check it out. Another hot vid with awesome dance moves. Plus, their English here actually sounds like English although Jaejoong's rapping is just.......off, but then again, it's not like they're known for their rapping skills anyways Xp
