What holiday?

My holidays will officially start in 3 hours time.

I should be happy.

But...

I'm probably gonna spend the time reading cases and doing assignments to be presented or handed in the minute I come back to school.

Do the lecturers not UNDERSTAND what HOLIDAYS mean??!!

What is Stress?

Stress is when:

1. My mp3 player dies on me.

2. I have no money.

3. My internet connection is being a bitch; and thus leading to

4. My downloads getting cut.

*sigh*

Btw, congratulations to those who graduated today! =D

Nearly there...

Currently listening to:
Decode by Paramore from the Twilight OST.

Right now I'm halfway through my finals and it seems that for the past month in a half or so, things have been super hectic. First of all would be with school, then my back/health problems (we really don't wanna go there...), balancing my time spent with family and friends and lastly trying to fit in the things that give me the most pleasure in life.......music (I have yet to touch my guitar this semester) and random computer geekness Xp

I mean for petes sake, I haven't even had time to Photoshop and upload those MAA's pics yet or even any pics for that matter! And I've only seen my parents twice this past 2 months......and they only live 40 minutes away :(

My next paper is this Friday and I'm procrastinating from getting any studying done I'm in a reflective mood. Looking back at this whole semester, I've realized that this first half of my final year wasn't as hard (in terms of the content of the syllabus) per se, but the amount of work given was the thing that bothered me the most. The constant and steady stream of deadlines to be met per week was just so time consuming. I mean, in the end, it felt like I hadn't studied or learnt a thing. It was just, "Okay, lets get through this project/assignment/test and then move on to the next assignment/test/whatever". I was still having tests and whatnots during my study week break when students are supposed to be given a break to just reconsolidate all that we've learnt and stuff. So yeah the whole semester was pretty much a blur for me. I keep looking through my notes and going "When the fuck did I write this down?" Basically, because your mind keeps thinking about the next task/deadline, you kinda just zone out during lectures and just automatically write down whatever.

Hmmm, there were also times when some of us would literally be at the office from 8.00a.m. til 4.00a.m. on a weekend to meet a deadline, then back again after a shower and like a 2-3 hour nap, to start the whole process again (Like Thirah, poor, poor Thirah. She's got it worse then me cos she's the boss of her firm. So there are added responsibilities there. Plus, she 's actually in a relationship and therefore her time is more split up then mine) Heck, I think most of us throughout this whole semester (particularly towards the end) probably hadn't gotten a good nights sleep in ages. I was actually wearing make-up on normal schooldays just to distract from the fact that I was breaking out like mad due to lack of sleep and the horrible circles under my eyes >_<

Note: "Office" here refers to my classroom. For my final year, we are put into a mock office environment and then divided into different firms consisting of random people picked by the faculty. I've got my own little cubicle (at the back of the class, thank god, cos if I lower my chair, the lecturers can't see me dozing off Xp), my own swivel chair (hehehe), we've got our own rubber stamps (mine states my name and the words "Advocate and Solicitor" underneath. Cool ne? Xp), our own little kettle and pantry area and a boss. Yes, I have a boss. No, he's not horrible or anything. He's quite a nice and relaxed boss. Funny too. But yeah, it's weird cos I have a boss. Anyway, we also have to wear formal office attire which meant that I couldn't come to class in jeans and t-shirts anymore *tears* (Although I have cheated by wearing my skinny leg black jeans with a collared tee Xp) On top of that, we have to do the whole 8a.m. to 5p.m. working hours thing. Technically it's until 4.30p.m. but even so, I can only go back at that time on Monday cos the rest of the week I have classes that extend late, sometimes til 10.30p.m. Actually, the whole punching out at 4.30p.m. thing is somewhat redundant cos there's always work that needs finishing ,so yeah, not many people will go back at 4.30 sharp. I used to, but then heading back home through the traffic jam when everybody else is also heading home just didn't seem worth it. A 20 minute ride could turn into a 40 minute one.

Blah. I thought writing this down would relieve my stress.

Didn't work.

But I hope for those of you who have been missing me (in the real world) and giving me random texts asking to go out and stuff which I forgot to reply, please note that I have not died yet and my soul has not yet been taken away by the evil people at the faculty. I've just been occupied........or sick. And I will someday, oneday, post up the MAA pics.

P.S. Happy Belated Birthday TOP!!! Yes, I still wanna have your babies!!! XD Pics of him below!

Ok, this was comepletely gratuitous, that's not TOP,
that's Taeyang with his awesome boday.

Neither is this, cos this is G-dragon and his hot half mohawk *dies*
How badass can you get?

He can also look super kawaii. Case in point is here.
Makes you just wanna squeeze his cheeks >_<

Okay. Now this is Mr. TOP himself looking all pimp.

Now I'm no longer stressed Xp

Ignorence is Bliss???? (Part II)

Woah~ Not to sound like I'm bragging (which I actually am XP) but I just read Part I again (with a clear drug free head) and I think it was pretty good post considering I was still all drugged up and not thinking straight, hence, the weird third person narrative thingy going on. However, I've decided to just continue with that style just cos it'll probably annoy the heck outta all of you XP

...

So yes, to continue the story, back at her class, Intan was being her not so normal hyper self and being friendly, mucking about and talking to her friends about her ass injection when one of her friends suddenly mentioned that her right eye was red. "Oh not again" she thought. She usually gets these random allergic reactions where one of her eyes would turn red and she'll proceed to start having a sneezing fit and then a runny nose. Okay, they're not really random. She only gets them when she comes into contact with dust and cats. She calls them random because there have been one or two occasions where she just suddenly had them where she was sure that there were no cats or dusts in the area. Hmmm.....apparently she hasn't really figured out ALL the things she's allergic to. Anyways, even before her friend mentioned it, she more or less kinda knew that something was up cos her right eye had been feeling itchy as hell but she (as usual) decided to ignore the feeling and go about her usual business. Then of course the sneezing fit came *sigh* (Intan really wasn't in the mood to deal with one of her allergic reaction episodes. What she wanted was for the day to end as soon as possible so she could go home, go online and spazz about DBSK some more and sleep.)

But then her friend didn't just stop there, after a while she said that the eye wasn't just red but also swollen. Basically, it was beginning to look like I no longer had an eye. Right, now that sent alarm bells ringing in Intan's little head. So she decided to look for a mirror and low and behold, not only was her right eye giving Quasimodo a run for his money but her whole freaking damn face looked a little bit swollen (I used "a little" here cos it was gonna get worse...) Right, this calls for one thing she thought....MUM!!!!

So Intan quickly called up her mum and told her (in polite and calm terms) that she should listen to her beloved daughter and flip off the client she was talking to. Her mother of course proceeded to hang up the phone on her (-_-;;)

Note: Intan has a habit of being overly dramatic when it comes to conversations with her family. Her psychiatrist (should she actually see one) would say that Intan suffers from a case of "attention seeking disorder" centered around her family members and this disorder is commonly mistaken by them as "annoying little brat syndrome".

Anyway, after sulking about for a good 5 minutes, her mother called her back (yay!!). She then proceeded to tell her about what happened including the injection (Actually she just put that in to say that her ass had just been touched by a stranger. Mwuahahah!!) she received from the doctor. When your mother is from the medical background and deals with a lot of clients, she's quite good at obtaining and dissecting every little detail from you to come up with some amazing conclusion as to why her daughter's eye was all swollen up. And what was the conclusion you might ask?

"Intan, I want you to get in the car right now with a friend and go straight back to that clinic cos I think you're having an allergic reaction to the painkiller they gave you" (only with more words and harsher tones being used). Intan of course, being thankful for the painkiller which basically killed off all her pain receptors, said "Mum, it's cool, I think that it's just one of my allergic episode thing..."
So the rest of the conversation shouldn't be retold cos it includes a lot of panicking on the mother's part and a lot of rolling eyes on the daughter's part. Yeah well, apparently Intan didn't know that an allergic reaction like this could actually cause death til her mother actually screamed it out in the phone to her (Just so you know, Intan could actually feel the telepathic slap her mother gave her upside the head for not getting in the car right then and there, to head to the clinic....-_-;;)

Okay. So now that she was starting to understand that her mother wasn't just being overly paranoid, she proceeded to get in her car and head back to the clinic (Do you know how weird it is to drive with only one eye open??) This occurred a little over 2 hours after her initial injection. So yes, it was no wonder her mother was pretty hysterical over the phone.

Upon arriving at the clinic, she went straight to the registration counter,(bypassing a poor random sick boy who was probably pissed that she had just cut the line but she gave him a glare with her swollen, red eye/face and therefore good little random boy backed down), showed the nurse her eye and told them that this was an allergic reaction from one their medications, which of course prompted the people there to go into panic mode (Intan loves making a scene at clinics/hospitals XP).

Fortunately for her or for them (whichever you feel sorry for the most) the doctor who tended to Intan before suddenly passed by, so Intan quickly motioned to her, then to her swollen face. The doctor took one look at Intan's face and quickly brought Intan to the medical room and then proceeded to tell her that she was having an allergic reaction to the pain killer given.......

.
.
.

YOU THINK DOC???????????????????????

.
.
.

From the look on Intan's face, she reckons that the doctor knew that what she had just told Intan was not only redundant, but it could of possibly been in contention for the Understatement of the Year Award. Thus, the doctor quickly proceeded to get up and take her personally, through the secret back doorways that all clinics and hospitals have (Really, for those of you who didn't know, they have their own secret walkways, which is why you hardly see them walking outside the hallways. This would explain the strange situation where one minute the doc is in and the next he's out to lunch, when the fuck he went out and how, you had no idea considering you were waiting for him right outside his door) and straight to the sick bay area.

In the sick bay area, she was quickly put on a bed, covered in nice blankets and told to wait for a minute where a nurse would tend to her as soon as possible, then had the curtains shut on her. After a couple of minutes of wondering whether they were just going to let her die there, a nurse came in, took out a needle and smiled.

"Like wtf??? Another one?!" Intan thought. Fortunately, much to Intan's relief, the nurse took Intan's arm and rolled up the sleeves. You can tell that for a minute there, she thought by the time this ordeal would finish, she would have mooned the entire clinical staff.

Just before injecting the needle, the nurse quietly told Intan that the anti-allergic medicine would make her a little bit sleepy.......

To make the story short, I woke up on Monday.

The days between that were a blur. I do remember my parents picking me up from the clinic and I do remember eating dinner and more pills. Everytime I ate, there were pills to swallow. Basically, it was a combination of painkillers + anti-allergic ones (which made me sleepy and therefore I slept constantly).

So yes, the moral of this story is that:

1) Take proper care of your back even if you don't have any subsisting injuries.
2) Don't ignore the pain till you can't stand it anymore. It's better that you do something about it then, instead of waiting till the last minute then ask for an injection like moi.
3) Get your ass to a clinic as soon as possible if you think that there's something wrong going on once you've taken any form of medication.
4) Be aware of what medication you are taking just in case you might be allergic to it.
5) Once you find out that you're allergic to it, REMEMBER the name!!
6) Oh and listen to your mother cos she's usually always right.

Note: The painkiller that I was allergic to was Voltaren which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It's generic name is Diclofenac and is also marketed as the Flector patch, Voltarol, Diclon, Dicloflex Difen, Difene, Cataflam, Pennsaid, Rhumalgan, Modifenac, Abitren, Olfen, Voveran, Arthrotec, Dedolor, Deflamat and Zolterol.

Ignorence is Bliss????

Let me tell you about a little experience I had a couple of days ago....

On one beautiful Friday morning (feel the sarcasm there people) little old me woke up late for classes..........in pain. Her head felt all cloudy and she couldn't feel/see anything beyond said pain located in her lower back. Don't worry, she is actually quite used to it after occasionally suffering from it due to the accumulation of a horse riding accident where she fell headfirst on her neck and also a motor accident where she was knocked down by a stupid idiot on a scooter, all which occurred during her teen years.

Anyhow, she knew that there wasn't much she could do as she did not have any pain killers with her then (left it at home) and because it was partly her fault for not taking care of her back properly for the past couple of weeks by sitting prone at her table doing her school work and listening to lectures without taking frequent breaks in between. Therefore, after calling her lecturer up to say she wouldn't be able to make it to her class, she decided that the her best option at the moment was to go and get some pain killers from the uni's clinic (It's free, do you know how much pain meds costs????!!)

So, with the thought of pain relief, she got herself dressed and hauled her ass to the clinic 20 (freakin long and painful) minutes away. After going through the usual prodding, poking and x-raying by the doctor, she was finally given 2 options:

1) a bunch of painkillers (pills), calcium tablets and vitamins to be taken after a meal, or
2) take a direct injection of painkillers plus a bunch of painkillers, calcium tablets and vitamins to be taken after dinner

The difference (other then the obvious fact that one requires a needle) is that the effects of the injection would be felt within 15 minutes whilst for the the former, she'd have to go and eat first (remember, you CANNOT take pain killers on an empty stomach!) and then wait for a while before feeling the effects. Since by that point she couldn't even sit straight, she picked option number 2. It should probably be mentioned here that Intan is not scared of needles and has never been scared of them. So with a feeling of euphoria knowing that the pain would soon ebb away, she happily followed the nurse to the injection(?) room. Upon reaching the room, she looked around for a chair to sit on but was suddenly stopped by the nurse who pointed to the bed and said "Sila baring dan turunkan seluar". Translation : "Please lie down and take off your pants".

Intan's reaction at that point was literally like this --> 0_o?????

And then it dawned on her that she wasn't going to get injected in the arms..........but on her ass! Okaaay...Fine. She could deal with that. She could moon the nurse. Nooooooo problem there. Just release her from the pain dammit!!!

So yeah, after said injection and finally relief, Intan happily made her way to class, thankful that she was pain free.................la la la la la~~

.
.
.

Oh no! But what is this??? Why is Intan back in the clinic?? And why is she being monitored by the nurses??? And another injection???!!! *gasps!!!*

Spazzing on Big Bang!

I just got back from hanging out with friends/celebrating one of my good friends' birthday. So yeah, just wanted to say a small shoutout to Tirah. Happy 22nd!!!! You're a great friend to have and me, Tasha, Emy and Yan love you very very much!!! =D

.........................................

Just for your info, the pics from the MTV thing won't be up this weekend cos I didn't go home. So I can't sort through the mess/Photoshop it til then. Sorry =(

........................................

I have 4 tests next week. Who the fuck has 4 tests within a week??!! Shouldn't this be outlawed or something? Isn't this inhumane?? I mean, my head can't remember or process that many facts dammit!!

........................................

Big Bang just came out with their 3rd mini album yesterday! Yaaaaaay!!! And my hand is just itching to use my credit card to order it!! But urgh! There is no way I can use it this month cos I won't be able to pay it off when the bill comes (I spent a lot for school/play last month >_<) and I don't like paying interest or being in debt. It's the worse feeling ever. The Malay word for "in debt" would be "berhutang" and the word itself just gives off a bad vibe *shivers* I try to pay all my bills on time and also any money I owe anyone as soon as possible. Yes, I know I'm anal but I think it's sound practice no? I'm not completely irresponsible ppl!

Anyhoo, I got completely off topic (as if I wasn't already babbling in the begiining.....-_-;;) Here's a snippet from the opening track of off BB's mini album "Stand Up". It's basically just a teaser video leading up to the release of their mini album. It came out about 2 weeks ago and I've been replaying it like mad Xp

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwDBfXWI1lQ

And this is their new single "Haru Haru" which debuted yesterday and apparently it's the number 1 song on all the Korean charts (online or off)! Their pre-orders were already 85,000 units and that's just the pre-orders!! Yeeeesh! My babies are gonna be together again dominating the charts! Altho, a solo Taeyang was really good and TOP was pretty much everywhere beaing featured in everybodys single and what nots but seeing them all together again? *dies* I can just see the amount of time I'll be spending online downloading all their performances!
^^

About the vid, I think it's freakin sad (typical Korean melodrama *rolls eyes*) altho GD's clothes make him look gay-ish and the boys all have eyeliner on, which I think only TOP can pull off.........but then again I'm biased. The boy could be wearing tights and a pink tutu for all I care and I would still think he's hot. Gay, but hot nontheless Xp This single features some beats from Daishi Dance, a couple of DJs (I think there's more then 1 >_<) from Japan who play some sweet House music. Enjoy ^^

TOP!!!!! I wanna have your babies!! Lol!! Xp

Dedicated to my Mother

******Edited******

Dear Mum,

Please, please, pretty please, don't read my blog anymore. It isn't really catered for you to read only (actually I was hoping that you'd never read it) I'm 22 years old (although I may not act it at times) and this blog is merely for amusement (and yes, I know the whole world can read what I write/say. That's the point!) So no, I won't cut out words such as sex, horny etc. "Aiyaaa, it was so embarassing lor," you calling me up and giving me a lecture. And I'm sorry I started laughing when you told me to delete those words. I've always had this underlying fear that you might snoop and read my blog (which btw, did happen!) and then start commenting about it at the dinner table (which hasn't happened yet, thank god!) So this post goes out to you, Mum.

Love from your now paranoid daughter who wonders whether her aunts also read her blog,
Intan

P.S. I know that I made you promise not to read it anymore, but in case you do, don't comment about it! Me in denial that you're not reading my blog is good for my soul XP <---- and mum, this means my eyes are crossed and I'm sticking my tongue out in jest, it doesn't mean the letter "X" and "P". Sheesh...

College stress

I started my new semester today. Thus my life as a broke college girl will start all over again (I'm richer at home cos Mum and Dad spend for me :p) The amount I get from my loan is about RM1,500 per semester (I do have savings and the parents usually give a bit at the start of the semester but I'm not allowed to touch my savings unless it's an emergency. I learnt the hard way that a sale was NOT an emergency -.-;; ) I'm usually good with money but I do have my momentary lapses of weakness (which I'm trying to work on!), mainly clothes and jewellery. The thing is I don't even wear that much jewellery, I just buy them cos they look pretty >_<

Another thing is, I eat when I get stressed and I get stressed alot in college. For example, yesterday I had to deal with a girl that fainted at one of the dorms. I had only step foot on the grounds of the building and these gilrs came rushing out of the building panicking and screaming that their friend just fainted. After I sent the girl to the clinic, I questioned the girls as to what exactly happened.

Me: When did this happen?
Girl: Half an hour ago.
Me: *jaw drops* Did you call the warden?
Girl: Errrr.....
Me: Did you call the on-call doctor?
Girl: Yeeaaaaaa.
Me: When?
Girl: Just now.
Me: You mean to tell me that the girl had fainted for a good half an hour before you decided to call anyone?
Girl: Errrrr.........We panicked and didn't know what to do.

By that time, I was ready to throtle her neck. You see! This is why
I gained 7 kilograms. 7 kilograms!!! in the 2+ years I've been in college. I look bloated. Fat and bloated. And stressed.

So, my new years resolution for 2007 is pretty much to lose all the weight. Period. Oh, and also to do my part to help bring peace to this world *cough* by persuading people to be less ignorant and judgemental ^_^

In something totlly unrelated to the topic above, I managed to catch the Ramayana ballet while I was in Yogjakarta, Indonesia. I saw it on the last night that we were there. The ballet tells the love story between Ramayana and his wife Sita. We watched it at an open air theatre and most of the audiences were foreigners. Our guide told us that the locals have probably seen it more than enough as they perform this everyday since 1976!!! Unless it rains of course, although I doubt the performers are the same though >_<

This was the only pic that came out nicely. The rest
were all blurry cos it was hard to take a pic of them not moving so much :(

This isn't Borobudur :p It's another temple in Yogjakarta called Prambanan.
It's much smaller than Borobudur though and not as famous.

I also visited Merapi but not until the top. It was a sad sight. This pic below is of a building (a restaurant I think) that got buried by the lava flowing down. Fortunately, our guide told us that nobody got hurt here as they managed to escape just in time. We had to wear masks as there was still sulfur in the air most of the surrounding trees and plants were dying due to the poisonous air. Seeing all this was absolutely heartbreaking. You never realize the full extent of a disaster until you're there at the scene itself. It kind of smacks you right in the face and I wasn't prepared for it eventhough I saw the whole thing on TV.

Bye bye Indonesia :(
